Code of Conduct
Players WILL be respectful of all golfers and staff members. Harassment, discrimination, or verbal abuse of fellow golfers or course staff WILL NOT be tolerated.
Players WILL contact the pro shop with any concerns or disputes. Players WILL NOT confront fellow golfers in cases of concern. Contact the pro shop with any issues. DO NOT try to address the problems yourself.
Players WILL control their temper on the golf course. Throwing or breaking clubs in frustration, using profane language, or yelling (other than FORE) are violations of the Code of Conduct.
Players WILL NOT instruct, discipline, or direct golf operations or maintenance staff. Address any concerns directly with course management.
Single riders using golf carts must pair with another single rider. Multiple single-rider carts within the same group are not permitted unless expressly authorized by the club.
Treat all clubhouse, patio, and course facilities with care and consideration
Please be respectful of other players on the course when listening to music. Other groups should not be able to hear your music.
Avoid damage to the course or greens — no practicing on the golf course or excessive wear near tee boxes or pins. All golf shots must be aimed in the direction of play. At no time should golf balls ever be aimed off property.
Concerns about behavior or violations of this Code shall be reported to club management or staff.
Any Player found to have violated the Code of Conduct will face disciplinary action, up to and including revocation of golfing privileges at Wenham Country Club.
Please remember that Members play a key role in fostering a positive golf culture at our course. Members are expected to lead by example and uphold this Code in all interactions.

- Tee Times may be booked 7 days in advance by members and 2 days in advance by public players.
- All golfers are required to check in at the proshop before beginning their round.
- No fivesomes allowed
- Tee times with less than 4 players may be paired up
- Golfers should respect the course. Please replace all divots, rake traps after use, and repair all ball marks on the greens. All trash should be placed in the receptacles provided.
- Practicing from teeing areas or to greens is not permitted. Practice is only permitted at our designated practice area near the 7th hole and on the putting green. Please check in the pro shop for these locations. At no time should golf shots be aimed off property.
- Pace of Play:
- Ready Golf: WCC has adopted the “ready golf” policy for all rounds played. All players should be ready to play when it is their turn. If a player is not ready, another player in the group should play. Do not observe “honor” or “away” when a player is not ready.
- Continuous Play Policy: on any putting green, all players must putt continuously once the ball is within 18″ of the hole. Continuous putting is encouraged withing 3′, but required within 18″
- All competitions will be governed by the rules set down by the USGA except those modified by the tournament committee.
- Golf etiquette and proper attire are required at all times while on the Wenham Country Club premises.
- Honor commitment when signing up for tournaments. Failure to show may result in the team being disqualified, and a disqualification for future tournaments in the event of repeated no-shows.
- Pull cart policy – Pull carts and bags should be kept off tees, aprons, and approaches. Within 30′ of the green, bags and pull carts should be kept in the rough.
- Handicap Flag Policy – If you must use a handicap flag for injury purposes, please be respectful near the greens, and keep your carts in the rough when able.
- The club shall not be responsible for any loss of personal property or injury to golfers.
- Junior members are eligible for play after 12:00pm on weekends and holidays.
Clubhouse Rules
- Wenham Country Club is not responsible for any items lost or damaged in the clubhouse.
- No smoking or vaping allowed in all areas of the clubhouse.
- No card games which involve “cash on the table” shall be played on club property.
- No business of any kind is to be conducted on the club property without the knowledge and permission of management.
- No member is to use any information obtained at Wenham Country for professional or business gain (i.e. – the use of membership lists for mailing lists, etc.)

- Weekends: 6:30 am until dark
