Golf Course Superintendent
Born and raised in Sudbury Massachusetts, Alex got his first taste of agronomy working on his grand-parents farm for nearly every summer of his life until he started working on a golf course. It was there that he discovered a passion for working outside and being a responsible steward of the land. Alex began his career in golf course maintenance at the Woodstock Inn and Resort in Woodstock Vermont in 2012. There he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent after hurricane Irene came through and devastated the golf course. With this experience behind him he furthered his knowledge at the Rutgers University Golf Course Management School. He did his internship at the Waverley Country Club in Portland Oregon which is an old and prestigious country club. After finishing at Rutgers, he went on to the Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord Massachusetts as an assistant, and from there he went to the Lexington Golf Club as an assistant for the last four seasons. At Lexington he participated in the reconstruction and restoration of two greens complexes, as well as several tees and bunkers.
Alex is an Eagle Scout with a bachelor’s degree in history and education from Saint Lawrence University, has been a volunteer fire fighter, and is a certified USSA ski racing coach.
He is very excited to be joining our team here and Wenham Country Club and looks forward to starting a new year with us.
